Wakefield Campervan Hire is a small business owned and run by friends. In the driver’s seat are business partners Sheryl, Michelle and John who have owned campers throughout the years and try to spend as much time as they can travelling.

We love to share our passion with our customers, the excitement of a journey, the thrill of the adventure, and we enjoy hearing about all of the epic stories that follow once our campers are returned.

Where did it all start?

Campervanning began for us when we had enough of pulling a touring caravan. We loved being able to travel and set up camp, but it was a lot of hassle in a tourer, so we sold the tourer and bought an old Iveco daily and converted that ourselves into a campervan. This is where our love of campervans and exploring new places began; we caught the bug, and not long after, Wakefield Campervan Hire was born.

Not only do we love to be out exploring but we also build them for other potential explorers

The list goes on.  There is nothing cooler than a VW campervan, a pop culture icon, a rolling symbol of independence and freedom and there is no better way to express your outlook on life.  

Many of our customers hire our campers as a way to ‘try before they buy’.  Even if a camper doesn’t quite deliver the dream, customers have had an amazing holiday experience and may have avoided an expensive mistake by purchasing one only to discover later that it’s not for them.

5 stars all round. Dennis looked after us on a 1000-mile(ish) trip around the south coast in 7 days. Van lovely and clean upon pick up, even a nice surprise for my partners birthday in the fridge.

Perfect campervan for our Lake District getaway! Dennis is very clean and tidy and is equipped with everything you need for a great escape.

Lovely little van. Equipped well with stuff like a first aid kit to torches, plates, bowls etc. Dawn and mark were very communicative and the little hamper and cups for our honeymoon was a lovely touch.
